DJ KARIN WARD'S STORY...
Karin Ward first fell in love with dance music in New York at the Ice Palace and The Monster in Cherry Grove and The Pavillion in The Pines in the late seventies heyday of disco and followed the beats into the New York City scene... Studio 54, Xenon, Red Zone, & The China Club.
She began apprenticing with the original turntable stars of the era and by the mid-eighties was spinning on her own at places like The Limelight & The Roxy. Karin built her reputation as a top New York City D.J. through the nineties at Mars, Traxx, & The Country Club... expanding to The Hamptons… The Swamp, Star Room, & M80 and playing major events like NYC Gay Pride on The Pier for thousands of dance revelers. She then began to develop an exclusive client list for private events and functions Nationwide.
Whether it’s NYC, Fire Island, The Hamptons, Miami, or Washington DC, Karin has an innate ability to feel the crowd and move them at the core. She has been at the vanguard of virtually every dance music trend since the genre’s inception and continues to evolve along with it, passionately exploring its endless possibilities.
